The exiled Asgardian god Loki meets The Other, 7 a leader of an alien race known as the Chitauri. Make a deal with them; In exchange for retrieving the Tesseract, a source of powerful energy of unknown potential, the Other promises Loki an army with which he can subdue Earth.
